Membership Levels
- $20 (Pine Needle) Includes basic membership and support for our efforts to advocate for our native tree canopy. Includes e-mail updates, monthly e-newsletter, and a direct phone line for all of your tree-related questions!
- $30 (Pine Cone) Includes all of the above PLUS a FREE native tree of your choice ( from available stock).
- $50 (Longleaf) Includes all of the above PLUS a Florida-Friendly Yard consultation with a visit from our resident Florida Master Gardener (for those areas INSIDE the city limits of North Port).
- $75 (Slash Pine) Includes all of the above PLUS a Florida-Friendly Yard consultation with a visit from our resident Florida Master Gardener (for those areas OUTSIDE the city limits of North Port).
People For Trees is a 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer grass-roots effort organized to promote the importance of protecting and maintaining a healthy, native tree canopy.
In addition to the work of protecting the tree canopy which is being lost largely due to development, People For Trees sponsors a program called Eco-Kids which is focused on environmental education for children ages 5 and up.
People For Trees conducts its work through the following: activities:
- Tree planting
- Annual Tree Festival
- Eco-Boat Tours
- Various outdoor events for the Eco-Kids program
- Group presentations
- Working with local government officials
